Studio Rules:
- Show RESPECT. Everyone has the right to feel safe and comfortable at Rise Dance Studio.
- The content of notices, emails and newsletters can be found on the parents and student Facebook and/or Instagram pages, please check these regularly for news & updates.
- Newsletters are sent home regularly, PLEASE READ ALL MESSAGES & NOTES.
For Dancers:
- Show RESPECT. Everyone has the right to feel safe and comfortable at Rise Dance Studio.
- Wait Quietly in the foyers. Be SAFE around the studio, inside and out!
- Show DISCIPLINE. Do not speak over the top of your teacher. Always try for 100% effort.
- In the event of a child’s ongoing behaviour being distracting and disruptive to others in the class, your child may be asked refrain from returning to classes for a period. In these situations Rise will endeavour to communicate and work with students and parents. Please consider the teachers & other students in the class.
- Mobile phones and/or electronic devices are NOT to be used during classes (in rare circumstances, this should be discussed with your teacher)
- All Rise students are required to wear DANCEWEAR ONLY. Leotards, shorts, leggings, crops (preferably our studio uniform)
- All ballet students must wear a black leotard, pink tights (skirts/wraps optional) and their hair in a bun.
- Please refrain from wearing denim, school uniforms and other clothing choices that restrict movement.
- We require our students’ full attendance during our competition, examination, and concert periods. Please remember you are a part of our team and once you are patterned, your part is important.
- Stage rehearsals, dress rehearsals and mock examinations are compulsory.
For Parents:
- Children must be collected promptly at the conclusion of their class. If children are waiting between classes, they must wait quietly and remain at the studio unless parent permission given. There is a homework corner available for children to do their work.
- Parents are to remain outside the studio during classes. There will be opportunities during the year where parents will be invited to attend their child’s class and observe their progress. Dates will be provided, usually at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.
- Parents waiting for children in the foyer should do so quietly without interrupting dance classes.
Parking:
- All instructors and parents are to try and utilise the gravel space along George St and the Dome car park where possible. We encourage ‘Drop and go’ for our students old enough to do so.
- ‘Drop and go’ parents please enter from George St and exit either onto South Western Highway or straight down the end of George street towards the petrol station. This will ensure there is a flow and minimal congestion.
- Please be careful when using the car park to drop off and collect children. At the end of classes many children leave the premises and all care MUST be taken to ensure that vehicles move slowly throughout this area. Respect for other drivers and neighbouring businesses in this area is also expected.
Fees:
- Fees are to be paid in the first 2 weeks of each term. If fees are not paid by the due date, children may be asked not to participate in classes until fees are paid.
- An annual registration fee of $20.00 applies to all students. This fee is non-refundable and will need to be paid with enrollment to secure your position in classes
- Notices pertaining to Term Fees will be emailed prior to the beginning of each term. Please ensure your contact details are kept up to date.
- Should there be an uncontrollable event (e.g fire, storm, flood, earthquake or governmental regulation or direction) that causes classes to be cancelled we will offer up to 2 makeup classes. These will take place during the school holidays. If this event causes classes to be cancelled for more than 2 weeks we will then offer everyone the opportunity to receive a refund or for the additional classes (over the two weeks covered by the make up classes) to be credited for use in the next term of dance.
- In the event that a vaccine mandate requires children to be vaccinated in order to participate in our classes, a refund will not be available should the parents choose not to comply with that mandate
- Enrollments are for the duration of the term. No refunds are given for term fees that have been paid in advance
- Should families be under any financial hardships, arrangements can be made at the studio’s discretion.
