Terms and Conditions

Fees

During your child’s first term, fees are payable weekly; thereafter, fees must be paid termly before the end of each term. Notice must be given at the end of the previous term if you wish to terminate your agreement and release your child's space within the class for the following term. 

Refunds

Refunds will not be given once the term has begun. Individual class refunds will only be issued if a class is cancelled by the teacher. Refunds will not be given for missed classes by students and classes cannot be carried over to the next term.

Admission

The School Principal reserves the right to refuse admission and to dismiss pupils should the occasion arise.

Examinations

Examination entries will be invoiced separately at the time of entry. Extra classes may be scheduled in preparation for an exam. Candidates are entered under teacher discretion and teachers may withdraw candidates from examinations if deemed necessary.

Uniform

Correct RS Dance regulation uniform must be worn at all classes (with the exception of your child’s first term). Uniform can be purchased from RS Dance. Girls’ hair must be worn in a bun for ballet classes, if your child has short hair, a hair band must be worn. Hair must be away from the face, neat and tidy for Contemporary, Tap, Modern, Street and Musical Theatre, Pre-Primary & Primary ballet classes.

No jewellery is to be worn.

Property

The school is not responsible for the loss or damage to personal belongings whilst on the premises. iPad's  mobile phones and other similar electronic devices are prohibited.

Photographs/Videos

Occasionally the students may have their picture taken or be involved in a video within the dance class. We may wish to use these images in a suitable publication or on the school’s website or social media sites. To comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, we must have permission by a parent or legal guardian before we can photograph or make any recording of young people.

I give consent to the use of photographs or reproductions of images both still and moving of my child for use in advertising and or promotional literature in all media formats by Rachel Salmon and/or RS Dance.

Contact between teacher and student

Physical contact may be required between the teacher and student during class in an appropriate manner for the teaching of the respective syllabus, e.g. positioning of an arm or leg.

Health and Safety advice

When arriving at the hall always ensure that a teacher is present. Whilst every care will be taken of students whilst in the dance class, teachers cannot be responsible for any student outside of the class.

First Aid

In the event of illness or an emergency, medical treatment will be administered where considered necessary by a nominated first aider, or by suitably qualified medical practitioners.

Contact & Medical details

We must be notified in writing of any important changes to your child’s health, medication or needs and also of any changes to your address or telephone numbers given overleaf.

RS Dance is committed to ensuring that any information gathered in relation to our dance school meets the specific responsibilities as set out in the Data Protection Act 2018.

I confirm that all details are correct to the best of my knowledge and I am able to give parental consent for my child to participate in all activities as well as for RS Dance to contact me via telephone or email.
