San-Marie Stage School is committed to protecting the personal information of our students and their families.

We collect and process personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information provided to San-Marie Stage School may include student and parent/guardian contact details, dates of birth, emergency contact information, relevant medical information and allergies, class and attendance information, examination information and payment/account details.

This information is used for the safe and effective administration of San-Marie Stage School, including managing classes and attendance, communicating with parents and students, processing fees, safeguarding, examinations, performances and meeting our legal and regulatory responsibilities.

Personal information is stored securely, including within our Class Manager system. Where necessary, relevant information may be shared with trusted organisations or service providers, such as examination boards, performance venues, licensing authorities and Essex County Council, or where we are legally required to provide it.

CCTV operates within San-Marie Stage School for the safety and security of our students, staff, visitors and premises. Recordings are securely stored and routinely overwritten unless footage needs to be retained in connection with an incident or legal or safeguarding matter.

When a student leaves San-Marie Stage School, their active student information is removed from our Class Manager system. Certain records may be retained where necessary to meet legal, financial, insurance, safeguarding or regulatory requirements.
