1. REGISTRATION AND FEES

1.1 All students must be enrolled via Class Manager and have completed a Registration Form, read and signed by a parent/carer. By completing and signing the Registration Form and enrolling your child in our classes, you agree to the Terms and Conditions below.

1.2 Payment is required termly, via GoCardless only.

1.3 Signing up through our website and setting up your Class Manager account is the only registration and payment method accepted by Select School of Performing Arts. We do not accept cash, cheques, or BACS payments.

1.4 We reserve the right to make changes to fee amounts and/or collection dates if necessary. In such cases, notice will be given via email prior to collection.

1.5 Fees are reviewed annually.

1.6 All registrations and payments are managed through Class Manager. Our website links directly to this system.

1.7 Payments will be taken from the specified account you have set up, approximately two weeks before each term begins. Failure to make timely payments may result in the loss of your place in chosen classes. If you are experiencing payment difficulties, please speak to a member of our team.

1.8 There is a registration fee of £25 for new students enrolling from July 2024.

1.9 All class and show fees are non-refundable. Fees are not waived for family holidays, school trips, school exams, or short-term sickness/injury. Long-term sickness or injury will be addressed individually and must be discussed with the Principal.

1.10 A late payment fee of £10 will be added to any payments not made on time.

1.11 Trial classes will be charged at the trial fee rate. Should the student join the school, the remaining balance for that term must be paid in full.

2. DISCOUNTS

2.1 A multiple class discount is available if your child takes four or more classes. For the fourth class and any additional classes, a 15% discount will be applied. This will be reflected on your invoice.

3. CANCELLATIONS

4. CLASSES AND PERFORMANCES

4.1 Parents/carers must not drop off students and leave them unsupervised in the waiting area, studio, hall or classroom.

4.2 Parents/carers must wait with their child until they are called in by a member of the Select team. Parents/carers must wait outside the building or class (depending on the venue) to collect their child from the teacher.

4.3 Classes are scheduled for 30, 45, and 60 minutes. Class times include a short period at the start and end for registration and changeover management. Teachers will minimize changeover times, so students should arrive and be collected promptly.

4.4 Students may need a “settling in” period where parents/carers stay with them until they feel confident to attend independently. We are happy to discuss this with parents/carers.

4.5 Some classes run back-to-back without a break. Students should be ready to start their class before entering.

4.6 Students are expected to behave respectfully towards their teacher and fellow students and follow our behaviour code.

4.7 If you will be late to pick up your child, you must inform a member of the Select team. Persistent late pick-up charges will apply.

4.8 Students are not permitted to bring any nut products or chew gum in class. A bottle of water is allowed.

4.10 Students are not permitted to leave the studio during class without the teacher’s permission.

4.11 Due to the nature of teaching dance, physical contact may be necessary to demonstrate or correct movements. This is done with the utmost care and professionalism.

4.12 Select School of Performing Arts cannot be held responsible for injuries incurred during classes. Teachers ensure students learn and progress safely.

4.13 A certain amount of risk is involved in physical activity. Students participate at their own risk.

4.14 Parents/carers are invited to watch their child’s class at the end of each term to celebrate their progress.

4.15 Parents/carers will have the opportunity to watch their child perform in the professional show which takes place every 18 months. If your child takes part in the show, you will be required to purchase/hire costumes, pay a performer fee, and purchase tickets.

4.16 All show money paid is non-refundable.
