Parents agree that by enrolling in our program they are allowing their children to participate at their own risk. In agreeing to participate in a Sharky Sports program I:

• Release and forever discharge Sharky Sports from all claims that I may have or may have had arising from, or in connection with, my child and a Sharky Sports program; and
• Indemnify, will keep indemnified and hold harmless Sharky Sports, to the extent permitted by law in respect of any claim as a result of or in connection with a Sharky Sports program.

I warrant that my child has not at any time suffered blackout, seizure, convulsion, fainting, dizzy spells or any other medical condition and is not presently receiving treatment for any illness, disorder or injury which would render it unsafe for my child to take part in a Sharky Sports program. I consent for my child to participate in a Sharky Sports program and understand the risk involved.

I acknowledge that Sharky Sports uses its best endeavours to ensure that the equipment and sporting facilities used in the program are safe and fit for purpose and acknowledge that all sports are inherently dangerous. I have voluntarily read and accept the inherent associated risks. "Sharky Sports" means any representatives of Sharky Sports. "Sharky Sports Program" includes all programs and activities that you or your child participate in during our courses and classes. This includes but is not limited to any organised sport, training, facilities and activities provided by Sharky Sports.

Timetable changes

All classes are subject to change. While Sharky Sports uses its best efforts to operate classes as per the timetable, in some instances changes are required due to weather or staff unavailability. No guarantee is made that classes will run per the timetable. Any changes required will be communicated to those affected prior to the date classes commence.

Trial Session

We offer one trial session for new members so you get the opportunity to experience the program before you commit to enrolling for the term. This is not a free session. If you don’t wish to continue after the trial session, there is no charge. If you would like to continue, normal term fees apply. 

Cancellation/NO REFUND policy

By enrolling in our classes, you are committing to a service contract for a complete term. We do not offer refunds if there is an issue with the service that is outside of our control. i.e - a change of mind. We offer a trial session to ensure that our customers are satisfied with our program prior to enrolling. Therefore, no refunds are available.

In certain circumstances, a credit may be issued to a customer to be used in future terms. An example of this is where the child has broken their leg and cannot attend classes for the remainder of the term. All credits issued have an expiry of 12 months.

Make-up class policy

If your child is unable to attend a class, a make-up class may be available. Please contact us to arrange your position in the make-up class. This may be held at a different location and time to the usual class.

Fee payment

We only take bookings for an entire term and our fees are structured this way. Fees will be prorated to when you enter the program. Please refer to our make-up class policy for missed classes. All fees must be paid at the time of enrolment by either credit card or bank transfer.

Parental participation

Parents and guardians are not required to be present for the duration of each class in the 5+ age group. We DO require parental participation for the ages 3-5 year old group to maintain class structure and focus. In many instances, classes are more beneficial for participants, and run more smoothly with the involvement of parents.

Photography

From time to time your child may be photographed or on video whilst undertaking a Sharky Sports class. Such media might be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to reproduction on the Sharky Sports social media platforms and website. By enrolling in the Sharky Sports program you agree to such use by Sharky Sports. Parents are not to take videos or photographs that include other children in the class without the permission of that parent/guardian. If you do not wish your child to be photographed or on video, please email [email protected] so we can inform our instructors and make a note on your file.

Illness Policy

Please do not bring your child to class if they are unwell or have COVID. This includes a runny nose, temperature or coughing. If your child is unwell, please take advantage of a make-up class. Please refer to our make-up class policy above.
