Enrolment Terms & Conditions

  1. Enrolment & Fees
    a. Enrolment at Shooting Star Theatre School is ongoing, with fees payable in advance at the start of each term. Invoices are sent on the 1st of each month and collected via GoCardless on the 15th.
    b. Payment must be made in full before a child can participate in any classes.
    c. Fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the management.
    d. A late payment fee may be applied if fees are not received by the due date.

  2. Class Attendance & Commitment
    a. Regular attendance is expected to ensure steady progress and participation in performances.
    b. If a child is unable to attend a class, parents/guardians should notify the school as soon as possible.
    c. Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another term.

  3. Notice Period for Withdrawal or Class Changes
    a. If a student wishes to withdraw from a class or change to a different class, a minimum of four (4) weeks’ written notice and payment of four weeks’ fees is required. Students can attend class during this notice period.
    b. Notice must be provided in writing via email or letter to the Shooting Star Theatre School Principal.
    c. Failure to provide notice will result in fees being charged until notice is given.

  4. Behaviour & Code of Conduct
    a. All students are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, staff, and fellow students.
    b. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in a student being asked to leave the class or, in serious cases, withdrawal from the school.
    c. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children arrive and are collected on time.

    d. All students, parents, guardians and visitors should use the studio respectfully, please adhere to guidelines and notices around the studio.

  5. Health & Safety
    a. Parents/guardians must inform the school of any medical conditions or additional needs that may affect participation.
    b. Students must wear appropriate clothing and footwear for classes.
    c. Shooting Star Theatre School is not responsible for any injuries sustained during classes, except in cases of negligence.

    d. All of our teaching staff have full, enhanced DBS checks, First Aid certificates and appropriate teaching qualifications.

  6. Photography & Media
    a. Shooting Star Theatre School may take photographs or videos of students for promotional purposes.
    b. If parents/guardians do not consent to their child’s image being used, they must inform the school in writing.

  7. Cancellations & Changes
    a. The school reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances.
    b. If a class is cancelled by the school, a replacement class or credit will be offered where possible.
