Terms and Conditions

Starlight Theatre Academy Classes Terms and Conditions - effective 26th April 2024

Classes are £11 a week during term time, and are paid for in advance, and any missed sessions cannot be refunded.

·         Taster session. Each child is entitled to a free taster class as their first class. At your taster class the parent/carer must check and sign the child’s registration form.

·         Sessions @ £11 a week. These classes are booked in for the full term or to the remainder of the term if the child joins mid term and paid for in advance. Dates are available on the website www.starlighttheatreacademy.co.uk or by email. You must pay for the whole term from point of joining, sessions missed are not to be refunded.

·         Deposit – Deposit for the termly renewal is currently £11 per child. This must be paid by the date requested to secure your child’s space, and is non-refundable.

 

These prices are subject to change at Starlight’s discretion. You will be informed in advance of any upcoming price changes at the time, and they will not be effective on any booking already made before that date.

 

Termly renewals

Starlight attendees have the first refusal on spaces for a new term. A renewal letter will be given to attendees at the end of a term. If your child wishes to continue into a new term you are required to pay a deposit to secure their space. This deposit must be paid by the date stated in the letter, and is non-refundable. Starlight cannot guarantee a space in the new term if a deposit is not paid by this date.

 

Late fees
A £5 late fee is added to fees paid after the requested payment date. The payment date can be changed upon discussion with Emily Cook. If fees are received late with no discussion, the late fee is applied.

 

Sibling Rates - In this section, the term ‘sibling’ refers to any children legally in the care of the same parent/guardian.

If siblings are in attendance in any of our classes at one time, the second and any further siblings will pay at a discounted rate of £9 per class for Main School only. If one sibling leaves our classes, the other will begin paying full price at the next session. If this occurs mid-term and a refund is applicable, you will be refunded at the lower sibling-rate per class remaining.

 

Registration Form/personal information

At your child’s taster session you will be asked to check/fill in a registration form. It is the parent/carers responsibility to ensure this information is correct, and to keep us updated with any changes/additions to it. Starlight cannot be held responsible for any occurrences/miscommunications due to information omitted/incorrectly given on the registration form. Information given will be kept on our customer database. The information will be used solely for our business purposes and will not be passed on to any third party, in accordance with the Data Protection act. If at any time you wish to be taken off our database, it will be effective immediately at your request.

 

Refunds and cancellations

Starlight cannot refund any classes missed during the term time.  We ask for a two week cancellation notice minimum. If you wish to cancel your sessions during the term, you will be refunded any remaining classes minus the weekend immediately following your notice. If you cancel your classes before the start of term, a 48 hours notice period stands and you will still owe for the first week of term.  The deposit paid will be non refundable, if you have not yet paid a deposit this may still be owed.

 

COVID 19 update:

In the case of another lockdown, or a bubble isolation, classes will be provided in kind via Zoom or otherwise online. Refunds are not available in the case of a secondary lockdown.
If your child is told to isolate, as in any other case of absence, the sessions will not be refunded. A free one to one via Zoom will be offered with Emily if you would like.
STA will work with track and trace to communicate any illness/isolations. If you do not wish to be communicated by T&T, please let us know. STA will keep your details as with GDPR and data compliance, and will communicate with you should any outbreaks happen which affect your child’s bubble.
If you or your child refuses to social distance and co-operate with our rules and government guidelines STA withholds the right to refuse entry to the student and no refund will be given.

 

If for any reason Starlight has to cancel a session, we will inform all parents by email if we know far enough in advance or by phone if it is within a day or two. For this reason, please ensure the details on your registration form are up to date. Any classes cancelled by us will either be refunded, or held as credit on your account with us. This is your choice.

These Terms and Conditions are correct from the date above. Starlight will notify their customers of any updates as and when they occur.
