CANCELLATION POLICY

To ensure smooth operations and fairness to all, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:

Notice Period: Parents or guardians must provide notice of cancellation for the upcoming term a minimum of two weeks before the conclusion of the current term.

Reason for Policy: This policy has been established because timely notice of cancellation is crucial for us to effectively manage our resources, including staffing and studio availability. When we receive advance notice, it allows us the opportunity to offer the dance class placement to other eager students for the upcoming term.

Consequences of Late Cancellation: In the event that a parent or guardian does not provide the required two weeks' notice before the end of the previous term, they will be responsible for paying the full term fee for the following term.

Explanation: This policy is in place to ensure the continued sustainability of Storytime Dance Centre and to protect our ability to provide high-quality dance education. Without adequate notice of cancellation, we may find it challenging to fill the vacant spot for the next term, which can result in financial losses for our studio.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we are committed to being fair and flexible whenever possible. If you find yourself in a situation where you are unable to provide the required notice due to exceptional circumstances, please reach out to our administration. We will assess each case on an individual basis and, if warranted, may consider alternative arrangements.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy.

COMMUNICATION

It is the parent/guardians responsibility to inform Storytime Dance Centre on any postal, phone or email changes. These changes can be made by contacting Miss Jacqui via email.

If you wish to end your enrolment, please also contact Miss Jacqui in writing two weeks prior to term commencement.

In agreeing to the terms and conditions you are also agreeing to be contacted via email - details will be relevant to your enrolment. At any time you can choose to unsubscribe.

Please ensure that the Emergency Contact on the enrolment form is someone other than the Primary Contact. The Emergency Contact will only be called in case of Emergency and if they Primary Contact cannot be reached.

UNIFORM

There is no uniform at Storytime Dance Centre, your child is free to wear whatever clothing they choose as long as they can move freely and it does not restrict their movement. We do recommend they wear ballet shoes however it is not a necessity. However due to the requirements of the The Community Place hall, bare feet or soft soled shoes only must be worn on the polished timber floors during class.

Parents or loved ones involved in the Baby Ballerinas class should wear clothes they feel comfortable to move in also.

VIEWING CLASSES

For the Tiny Dancer, Jazz Magic, Jazz Kids and Junior Ballerina classes, as we are encouraging independence in these age groups and complete engagement in the lesson, parents are not invited to watch as this can distract the children. Parents can watch their child for the first ten minutes of their first class so the child can adjust to being in the room without you there. At the end of each term, parents will be invited to

watch their child’s class.

Baby Ballerinas are allowed one adult per child in the classroom during regular lessons.

If you have any requests to view your child’s class outside of the above, please contact Miss Jacqui in advance.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOS

All photos taken by, or on behalf of, Miss Jacqui may be used for advertising and marketing purposes. All photos used will be anonymous and no names will be used. Please ensure you select ‘no photographs or videos’ upon enrolling if you do not consent to this.

STRICTLY no personal photography or videos are allowed during class, this is for the protection of our students and our programs.

FOOD AND DRINK

It is highly recommended that each student comes with their own water bottle, labeled with their name, to class. Water is the only drink allowed in the studio and no food is allowed in the studio.

Any food brought to the premises must be NUT FREE, however we cannot guarantee that the premises are nut free.

SAFETY

We provide a safe environment for our dancers and Miss Jacqui is trained to provide emergency First Aid. Miss Jacqui is qualified to administer an epipen and asthma inhaler if needed. If your child has any medical condition we must be notified before your child commences class and an action plan must be provided. Please include this in your enrolment submission.
