Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all students and families enrolled at Stummer Studio Dance School. By enrolling or re-enrolling, you agree to abide by the following policies.
1. Enrolment
Enrolment is for the full dance year and fees are invoiced per school term.
A one-time annual enrolment fee of $30 per child applies, covering administration, insurance, and licensing costs.
Enrolments are confirmed once payment obligations are agreed to and accepted.
2. Fees & Payment PolicyPayment of Fees
All class fees are payable at the beginning of each term, unless a prior payment arrangement has been approved in writing by Stummer Studio management.
Late Payments
A $30 late payment fee may be applied to accounts not paid within 7 days of the due date, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Outstanding Fees & Attendance
Students with outstanding fees will not be permitted to attend classes until their account has been paid in full.
Stummer Studio reserves the right to suspend a student’s participation in classes, rehearsals, performances, or events if fees remain unpaid.
Re-Enrolment & Return to Classes
Students cannot re-enrol or return to classes in a new term or dance year if there is an outstanding balance from a previous term or year.
All outstanding fees must be settled in full prior to recommencing classes.
Ongoing Non-Payment
Continued non-payment of fees may result in termination of enrolment at the discretion of Stummer Studio management.
3. Class Attendance & Missed Classes
No refunds or credits are provided for missed classes due to illness, holidays, or personal circumstances.
Missed classes cannot be made up unless otherwise stated.
Families planning to be away for an extended period must provide written notice at the beginning of the year. Deductions will only be applied for absences longer than 3 weeks
4. Trial Classes
New students may attend a trial class at the applicable rate.
If the student enrols, the trial fee will be credited toward their first term payment.
5. Withdrawal Policy
To withdraw from classes, two weeks’ written notice is required.
Refunds for unused classes are at the discretion of Stummer Studio management and may incur an administrative fee.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Written notice is required for cancellation of enrolment.
Families planning extended absences must notify the studio at the beginning of the year.
Deductions apply only for absences longer than three consecutive weeks.
No refunds are provided for short-term absences or missed classes.
7. Uniform Policy
Students are required to attend class in the appropriate uniform for their style and level.
Uniforms must be neat, clean, and suitable for safe participation.
Branded Stummer Studio uniform items are available for purchase separately.
8. Concerts, Events & Costumes
Participation in the end-of-year concert is compulsory for all students.
A concert levy is charged in Terms 3 and 4 to cover rehearsals, theatre hire, and associated costs.
Costume hire fees are non-refundable.
Students who withdraw after Term 2 may still be liable for outstanding costume costs.
9. Injury & Medical Policy
All medical conditions must be disclosed prior to the student’s first class.
Students must inform their teacher of any injuries before participating.
Stummer Studio is not liable for injuries sustained during classes or events.
10. Liability Waiver
Participation in dance involves some risk of injury.
By enrolling, students and guardians accept this risk and release Stummer Studio from liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation.
11. Behaviour & Code of Conduct
Students and parents are expected to behave respectfully at all times.
Bullying, aggressive behaviour, or disrespect toward staff, students, or families will not be tolerated.
Stummer Studio reserves the right to suspend or terminate enrolment if behaviour is deemed inappropriate or harmful to the studio environment.
12. Studio Closures
In the event of unforeseen closures (e.g. severe weather or public health issues), Stummer Studio will attempt to reschedule classes where possible.
No refunds are provided for studio closures outside of the studio’s control.
13. Marketing & Photography
Stummer Studio may use student names, images, and video for promotional purposes.
Families who do not wish to participate must notify the studio in writing.
14. Right to Amend
Stummer Studio reserves the right to amend fees, schedules, policies, and Terms & Conditions at any time.
Changes will be communicated to families in advance where possible.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling or re-enrolling at Stummer Studio Dance School, families acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
