Terms and Conditions

Code of Conduct agreement

Students and Parents agree to:

Respectful behaviour toward staff and other students
Follow instructions and safety rules
No Bullying, Harassment or disruptive behaviour
Teatro has the right to remove students from program for serious misconduct

Particpation and Risk Acknowledgement:

I acknowledge that particpation in performing arts activities involves some physical risk and agree to particpate at my own/ my child’s risk

Drop- Off and Pick up Responsibility:

Teatro is not responsible for supervision of students outside of scheduled class times. Persistent late collection may result in removal from the program

Belongings / Valuables:

Teatro is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings
Mobile Phones are not allowed to be used in any teaching or rehearsal room.

Physical Contact in Training (Theatre Bridge and Advanced Students):

Some activites may involve physical contact for training purposes and this will be conducted in a professional and respectful manner

Use of Facilities and Equipment:

All entrants to Teatro must follow all venue safety instructions and respect Teatro facilites and equipment.

Teatro is not liable for disruption caused by events beyond its reasonable control.


Fees, Refunds and Attendance Policy

All fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of classes or programs.
Enrolement secures a place for the full term or program and fees are non - refundable once the term or program has commenced.
No refunds, credits or make up classes are provided for missed classes due to illness, holidays, personal commitments or changes in circumstances.
In the event Teatro is required to cancel a class, a suitable make up class or credit may be offered at Teatro’s discretion.
Repeated non- attendance without notice may result in forfeiture of the student’s place
By enrolling, students and parents/ guardians acknowledge and accept this policy.

Failure to pay fees by the due date may result in suspension or termination of the student’s participation in classes or programs until payment is brought up to date.
Teatro reserves the right to withold access to classes, performances, assessments, auditions or completion recognition where fees remain outstanding.

If fees remain unpaid, Teatro may issue reminders and/or engage a deby recovery process. Any costs associated witht he recovery of outstanding fees may be payable by the student or parent / guardian.
Non payment does not release the student or paren/ guardian from the obligation to pay the full program fees.


Withdrawal from Long Term Programs

Enrolement in a long term or 6 week prorgam consitutes a committment for the full duration of the program.

Fees are payable for the full program tern and are non - refundable once the program has commenced including in circumstances where a student choosed to withdraw, loses interest or determines thet the program is not suitable for them.

If a student withdraws after commencement no refunds or credits will be provided of any unused portion of the program. Any outstanding fees remain payable in full unless otherwise agreed by Teatro. 

Exceptional circumstances may be considered at Teatro’s discretion and do not constitute an obligation to refund.


Termination Clause

Teatro reserves the right to refuse or terminate enrolement if a student’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves, others, or the learning environment.


Emergency Medical Treatment Consent:

In the event that a student becomes ill or injured during a class or program, Teatro will make a reasonable efforts to contact the parent or guardian using the emergency contact details provided.

Parents or guardians are required to arrange prompt collection of the student if requested.

Teatro staff are not authorised to administer medication of any kind, including over the counter or perscription medication. In the event of a medical emergency where a parent or guardian cannot be contacted.

Teatro may seek emergency medical treatment for the student, including contacting emergency services, and parents or guardians will be responsible for any associated costs.

Any required medication (e.g. asthma inhalers, epi pens) must be clearly labelled and provided by the parent or guardian aling with a current action plan where applicable.

Program Changes:

Teatro reserves the right to make changes to class scheduled, venues, teaching staff and program content where necessary due to operational requirements, illness, availablity or unforseen circumstances.
Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided. Such changes do not entitle students or parents/guardians to refunds, credits or fee reductions.


Program Additional Conditions:

Training Feedback relates to skill development only and is not a judgement of personal worth, future potential or suitability for a career in the arts

Casting decisions are based on the specific needs of a production and do not reflect overall ability.

Performing arts training involves subjective assesment.

Theatre Bridge Programs:

Theatre Bridge programs are advanced training designed to provide participants with exposure to professional theatre practice.
Completion of a Theatre Bridge program indicates that a participant has met the program requirements; however completion does not guarantee casting, employment, representation or performance opportunities in Teatro productions or elsewhere.

Theatre Bridge Alumni and Theatre Bridge Kids and Teens may be elgible to audition for teatro productions where appropriate. 
All auditions and casting decisions are made at the sole disction of Teatro and its appointed creative teams, based on the specific requirements of each production. 
Standard professional auditions processes apply to all roles.


These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
