CHILD CLASSES
FEES
- Terms and ConditionsInvoices will be emailed soon after half term. Payment is due by the payment due date on the invoice. Invoices will be sent from [email protected] which needs to be added to your contacts to avoid going into your spam box.
- A late payment fee of 10% of the invoice will be charged for payments received after the due date.
- If you have not received an invoice you should contact the office so that it can be resent.
- Money is not refunded for classes missed (including injury, sickness and holidays).
- On any occasion when the venue or time of a particular class has to be changed an alternative will be arranged.
NOTICE OF LEAVING OR CHANGE OF CLASS
- Parents are required to notify The Dance Hub in writing on or before the last day of the first half of term, if their child wishes to withdraw from tuition or make a change to classes. The withdrawal or change will only take effect from the beginning of the next term.
- If the required notice of leaving is not given, a half term’s fees will be charged in lieu of notice.
SECURITY
- We make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety of pupils in the classroom. Parents /guardians are ultimately responsible for seeing the safe entry and exit of their children.
- Parents/guardians must always come into Harpers Mill to make sure that classes are on – DO NOT DROP THEM OFF AND DRIVE OFF. Do not leave your child unaccompanied.
- Parents/guardians must come into the building to collect their children and teenagers, The Dance Hub pupils must not wait outside the building to be collected.
- If you require your child to arrive/depart alone, without a parent/guardian, you must send an email to confirm this.
- After class, all children should wait in the waiting area with the teacher, where the teacher can see them (unless you have emailed to leave without a parent/guardian)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Please reinforce regularly that in the extreme case of you being late your child must stay in the waiting area and inform the teacher.
- Due to the nature of teaching performing arts it is sometimes necessary to correct positions physically. This is always conducted with the utmost care and professionalism.
- All children and students should go to the toilet before class to avoid any disruptions.
- Parents/guardians and siblings must be quiet in the waiting areas so that classes are not distracted or disturbed.
- No photographs or videos can be taken of the children in class by parents/guardians classes, or through the door/windows.
- Permission is requested before a pupil auditions to take part in classes elsewhere or external dance performances. We do not train students who attend another dance school unless exception is given by the Principal.
- All dance wear and shoes should be named and children can bring water bottles into class.
- The waiting areas should be kept tidy and rubbish put in the bins provided and soiled nappies need to be taken home with you.
EXAMS
- Pupils will only be entered for exams when the teacher considers them to be ready. There will be an exam fee to pay.
- Pupils will only be entered for exams if is there are no outstanding invoices.
- If an exam is not taken, it is at the discretion of the teacher as to whether a student will stay in the same grade or progress to the next level without taking an exam.
PARKING
- There is a 20min FREE parking allowance.
- Parking over 20mins should be registered on entry on the waiting area. It is your responsibility of the grown up picking up/dropping off to register for parking and not the responsibility of The Dance Hub.
CHANGING AREAS
- Changing areas are very limited. Please arrive ready changed where possible.
- There is NO CHANGING in the public toilets.
PARENT WATCHING
- Parents/guardians are invited to watch classes towards the end of term. Please check with teacher involved.
- Term dates can be found on the website and invoices.
- You must gain permission from the Principal before bringing guests to watch your child’s classes, outside of parent watching classes. If you have not received permission, the teacher has the right to deny your guest from watching said classes.
MEDICAL
- Please inform the teacher and declare details of any medical/physical condition, loss of hearing or any known impediments, for example dyslexia, asthma, fits etc on the enrolment form. (This information will only be shared with the teachers concerned)
- No nuts or nut products should be included in snacks which are brought to The Dance Hub.
- A basic first aid kit is kept on the premises and a Danceforce teacher may administer basic first aid if necessary. The teacher needs to be informed if a student needs to take any of their own medication and we hold no responsibility for this.
BEHAVIOURAL ISSUES
If a child is being disruptive, destructive, or dangerous to themselves, other children, or staff members during class or special events, we will make every effort to work with parents and the child in question to resolve this behaviour. If the behaviour persists or other undesired behaviours develop, the child in question will be asked to take a break from the class or event.
CLOTHING
- All pupils are expected to be well groomed and to wear the correct uniform for their classes.
- Hair should be neat and tidy at all times and worn in the appropriate style for each class.
- Jewellery must not be worn.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographs or video footage may be used by The Dance Hub in marketing and advertising campaigns and for social media and email communications for subscribers.
ADULT CLASSES

- On any occasion when the venue or time of a particular class has to be changed, an alternative will be arranged.
NOTICE
- Whilst we do not have a notice period in place for adult classes, we would appreciate notification of leaving as early as possible.
CLOTHING
- We suggest that adult students come to classes in comfortable clothing such as leggings and t-shirts and with footwear appropriate to their class ie tap, ballet, jazz.
MEDICAL
- Please declare details of any medical/physical condition, injuries, loss of hearing or any known impediments, for example, asthma, fits etc on the online enrolment form. This information will be treated as confidential but will be passed on to the relevant teacher. If you have any conditions or injuries listed, please make yourself known to your teacher at the beginning of the first lesson.
