Injury Policy 1. Injuries can occur especially in dance. 2. The student must report injuries to the teacher. It is important they're aware of any injuries 3. Students who have been injured must present a clearance report from their practitioner stating they are able to return to classes. If the injury is ongoing we must receive reports regularly so we are aware of the restrictions placed on the student 4. We are not liable for personal injuries
Query & Complaint Procedures 1. We appreciate sometimes parents need to talk to teachers about their children but this may not be during class time. Please make a time outside class time when the teachers are available or email Helen - [email protected] Courtney - [email protected] 2. All complaints and queries will be dealt with promptly, seriously and with sensitivity and remain confidential, to enable us to keep your concerns confidential it is important you make time to speak to principals regarding your concerns, avoid sharing with other parents and or junior teachers.
1. This is to clearly define our expectations and guidelines for members engaging in social media that relates to our studio or members. 2. You must be clear and ensure any information is factual and accurate. 3. Any information must respect individuals and the studio. 4. Information must not damage in any way the studios or members reputations or bring disrepute. 5. Due to duty of care and child safety, images posted onto social media relating in any way to the studio and the students, must be approved by Helen Goff.
Enrolment Policy 1. To enrol at our studio a parent/guardian and student must read and agree to our policies and procedures. 2. Most terms are 10 weeks closely following school terms. 3. Term 4 will commence at the beginning of the September school holidays. 4. During Term 4 we double up with two classes a week per subject. This counteracts for any make up lessons owed during the year. 5. Enrolled students will be put into suitable classes according to age and experience; our qualified teachers determine this. 6. Enrolment is for an entire term. Cancellation must be made in writing or handed to reception. One Terms notice in writing must be given if tuition is to be terminated 7. If lessons are terminated before the end of Term, no fees will be refunded 8. The studio must be contacted if a student will be absent from class for any reason. 9. Enrolment information must be updated at reception if it changes. This includes your email address and mobile phone numbers.
Members Behaviour Policy 1. All students are expected to show consideration and respect to all teachers in the school and also to each other. This will ensure a happy and pleasant environment for everyone. 2. All students must conduct themselves with honesty and courtesy and show consideration to all teachers, fellow students, parents and staff. 3. Students need to remember they are a role model for other students and show leadership by setting an example through their actions and speech. They need to embrace the TJB & BSS family rules. 4. All students need to represent a high level of integrity and avoid gossip, criticism or disapproving comments about fellow students, teachers & or others involved in our studios. Have the willingness to face issues and concerns with maturity and dignity. 5. Be committed to giving 100% at all times. 6. Parents will be notified if student behaviour becomes unacceptable. 7. Fees Policy 1. Fees must be up to date prior to the year commencing, if money is still owing from the previous year your New Year enrolment will not be processed. 2. Payments can be made by direct debit, cash (through reception) or cash/Cheque in an envelope with Child's Full Name clearly stating what the payment is for. 3. If parents have difficulty in paying fees please arrange a meeting with the appropriate director (Helen Goff, Courtney Gledhill or Jenny Damiani) to arrange a payment plan. 4. No refund or credit is given for missed classes. 5. There are no refunds for concert fees once the costume process has commenced. 6. Competition entry fees must be paid prior to the competition start date. 7. Term fees must be paid by the due date stated on your invoice if these payments become overdue lessons will cease. 8. Payment plans are acceptable; by organising a meeting with Helen Goff you can make these arrangements, however your commitment to payments need to be regular. 9. Interest and accounting fee will be charge on overdue account
Studio Rules No food or drink (excluding water) in a sealed container is allowed into the studios. This includes all attending dress rehearsal days. All mobile phones must be switched off whilst in class. Students are responsible for their own property. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost property is found in the studio and is emptied at the end of every term. Please check for lost items. Ensure all dance clothing & shoes are labelled. All students must remain inside the studio until their parents or a responsible adult collects them. This is for the safety of all students and must be adhered to. Reminder our waiting area is for students only, no parents or siblings, exception to baby bop and tumbling tot morning classes. Drop off and pick up scenario is a more efficient and preferred option to avoid congestion in the car park. No member is permitted to record or take photographs at our studios without permission from the director or teacher. Parents are not permitted to view class unless given special permission. This elevates disruption and allows all students to concentrate on their class work. Notes and notice boards must be checked whenever you are at the studio. Check the website and private Facebook page (2018 TJB Info) regularly for dates and information Students need to practice to improve their skills especially when exams, competitions or shows are approaching 11. Consistent practice is required at home each week to achieve and maintain flexibility and continued parent support.
