Terms & Conditions

1.  All fees are to be paid by the first lesson of term. For pupils attending three lessons a week or more fees may be paid in two instalments. The first instalment due prior to the start of term and the second prior to half term.

2. There is a late payment charge of £20 for any late fees. No fees will be refunded if we have another COVID-19 lockdown or snow if teacher’s are not able to safely get in as all classes will then be put online via zoom.

3. Pupils must wear the TSD school uniform which can be fitted and purchased form our school uniform shop at North Street church hall. Due to safety no jewellery should be worn, and hair must be groomed appropriately.

4. There is no parking at the church car park this is for teacher’s and church member who have a permit.

5. One terms notice in writing or payment in lieu is required if a pupil is to be withdrawn from the school.

6. We are only responsible for pupil’s during their lesson time so parents should be there to supervise pupils before and after class. If pupils have a break between lessons they are not under the care and supervision of TSD so, please make sure all pupils are safe.

7. The main front door must be kept shut always and pupils must wait inside to be collected for safely.

8. TSD is not responsible for any damaged or lost items in the changing rooms.

9. All people in the waiting room areas and changing rooms are for students, parents/ carers only and must show respect to all other members of the school. 

   
   Consent

   The teaching practise of dance requires the pupil’s to be aware of technical placement within their own anatomical range. Therefore, this involves teachers/ helpers in class placing their body in the correct alignment. In order for our pupils to reach a high standard of performance and examination success, teachers need to physically correct with a hands-on approach in an appropriate manner, as in all other forms of dance and sports training.

   Occasionally pupil’s need help with uniform or changing costumes at show time, especially with quick changes so we have helpers, chaperones and teachers who are all DBS policed checked. We also have the rights over any photograph’s or filming which will only be used for our school promotion.

   For younger pupils we need your consent for another parent on site, helper, or teacher to help assist your child with toileting if necessary. If you do not give permission, then you must stay on site to be responsible for your own child. We are only responsible for supervising pupils during their lesson time so please make sure pupils are not left unattended before and after lessons.

   Please make sure the main front door is shut and not left on the latch as pupil’s safety is priority. Personal belongings are left at own risk and not the responsibility of TSD.
