Terms and Conditions

By completing and signing the registration form to enrol your child at Talents Theatre School (TTS), you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Any child currently enrolled who has not signed a new registration form is also bound by these terms and conditions through their continued attendance.


1. Fees

a) Subscription & Payments

•All students must have a subscription set up through Class Manager before attending classes. 

A direct debit will be automatically collected through the payment system, Gocardless. It's fully regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and your account details are never shared with us or any third parties. 

If a payment attempt fails, a £2.00 fee will be applied. If payment fails more than once, an additional £5.00 administration fee will be charged for each subsequent failed attempt. These fees are necessary to cover administrative cost and the charge we receive when payments are unsuccessful.

•Your child will not be able to attend class if a subscription has not been set up.

•Fees are calculated on a 46-week year (January–December), ensuring consistency in monthly payments unless class changes occur. If your child wishes to change or add classes, please inform the office.

b) Exam Class Fees

•Modern & Tap exam classes are charged termly. 

•Terms run from March – June – September – December.


c) Discounts

•Discounts for multiple classes apply only if all payments are up to date. Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers.

Term fees and Dance cirque are not included in class discounts.


d) Payments During External Events

•Monthly/termly fees remain payable even if students participate in external events such as festivals or competitions.

•When possible, pre-competition classes will be arranged. If a class is cancelled, we will reschedule where feasible. If rescheduling is not possible, the cost will be deducted from your monthly/termly fee.


2. Health & Safety

a) General Safety

•Students must follow all health and safety instructions given by teachers.

•Any concerns regarding safety should be reported to a teacher immediately.

•Students must wear shoes when moving around the building and ensure ribbons/laces are tied. Parents, students, and siblings must take extra care on the stairs.


b) Safeguarding

•TTS has a formal Safeguarding Policy, in line with the N.A.T.D. Code of Good Conduct, which is displayed in the office.

•Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions constitutes agreement to comply with the Safeguarding Policy.


c) Parent Conduct

•Parents/guardians should avoid standing at viewing windows for extended periods, as this can be distracting to students and teachers.

•Parents must drive and park responsibly when dropping off and collecting children.

•The grass area around the studio is used at your own risk. TTS is not liable for injuries caused by slippery or muddy conditions.


d) Injury & Illness

•Any injuries or illnesses during class must be reported to a teacher or staff member immediately.


e) Fire Safety & Smoking

•Fire regulation notices are displayed on-site; parents and students should familiarise themselves with these procedures.

•Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises.

3. Data Protection

•Our Data Protection Policy is displayed in the office and available upon request.


4. Responsibilities of Parents/Guardians

•These Terms & Conditions, along with any signed enrolment forms, form a binding agreement between parents/guardians and TTS.

•Attendance at classes constitutes acceptance of the latest Terms & Conditions.

•Parents/guardians must notify TTS of any changes to personal details, injuries, or illnesses affecting their child’s participation.

•It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to stay informed by checking WhatsApp updates, emails, the website, and social media for important announcements.

•TTS reserves the right to exclude any student whose behaviour is disruptive or breaches these Terms & Conditions.

•Parents/guardians must retain all payment receipts. In the case of a dispute, if no proof of payment is provided, TTS records will be deemed final.

•Photography & Media: TTS may use photos/videos of students for promotional purposes. If you do not consent to this, you must inform us.


5. Liability

•TTS does not accept liability for personal injury sustained during class. Dance and gym-based activities carry inherent risks.

•TTS is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury

•TTS does not accept responsibility for lost or damaged personal property.

•TTS is not liable for losses incurred due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

•TTS holds Public Liability Insurance.


6. Class Withdrawal & Outstanding Fees

•If a student wishes to withdraw from a class, written notice must be provided at least four weeks before the start of the next term.

•Late withdrawal notices will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

•If a student leaves with outstanding fees, TTS reserves the right to recover the debt through legal means, including court action.


7. Studio Housekeeping

•Students and parents must respect studio facilities, dispose of rubbish properly, and keep communal areas tidy.

•The kitchen is for staff and students staying at the studio for extended periods and must be kept clean at all times.


8. Parent/Guardian Etiquette

To ensure a safe, positive, and professional environment, parents must:

•Show respect for teachers, staff, students, and other parents.

•Stay informed about school events and updates.

•Supervise siblings at all times and ensure waiting areas remain tidy.

•Refrain from entering studios unless invited by a teacher.

•Support TTS’s ethos by encouraging students to be committed, positive, and hardworking.


Concerns should be raised via email ([email protected]) or by booking an appointment through the office.

9. Miscellaneous

•All teachers are fully trained, DBS-checked, and insured.

•Physical corrections may be necessary for proper dance training and will always be conducted professionally.

•On school trips and events, TTS staff act as responsible adults in the absence of parents. Licensed chaperones may be used during school shows.

•Children will only be released to parents unless prior arrangements have been agreed with the principal.

•Changes to these Terms & Conditions will be announced via social media, the website, and the studio notice board.


10. Rules & Regulations

a) Punctuality

•Students should arrive at least 5 minutes before class to avoid missing warm-ups. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join the session.


b) Attendance

•Regular attendance is essential for student progress and class development.


c) Discipline & Conduct

•Students must behave respectfully and show good manners towards teachers, peers, and younger students.

•Foul language and disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.


d) Uniform

•Students must wear the correct uniform to ensure safety and professionalism in class. Uniforms are available for purchase at The Dance Box.


e) Drop-Off & Collection

•Students should arrive just before class begins. Parents must supervise them until the session starts and collect them promptly at the end.


f) Personal Property

•Students are responsible for their belongings. All dancewear should be clearly labelled.

•Mobile phones must be switched off or set to silent during class.


g) Lost Property

•Unclaimed lost property will be disposed of after three months.

TTS is committed to providing a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment for all students. If you have any concerns, please bring them to our attention promptly so they can be addressed.

>Discounts for multiple classes are only applied when all payments are up to date. If a GoCardless payment fails twice, your discount will be removed. During this time, you will be charged the full class rate until payments are brought up to date.

Disclaimer

Participation in TTS Promotions classes and Dance Cirque involves physical activity that requires strength, flexibility, and coordination. While every effort is made to provide a safe and controlled environment, there is always a risk of injury.

By enrolling in these classes, participants (or their parents/guardians if under 18) acknowledge and accept the following:

1.Assumption of Risk – Participants understand that acrobatics, aerial apparatus, and other movement activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, sprains, falls, and other potential injuries.

2.Instructor Guidance – Students must follow all instructions given by the instructor to ensure their safety and the safety of others in the class. Failure to adhere to guidance may result in removal from the session.

3.Health & Fitness – It is the responsibility of the participant (or their parent/guardian) to ensure they are in good health and capable of engaging in physical activity. Any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns must be disclosed before participation.

4.Liability Waiver – The dance school and its instructors are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during class, unless due to proven negligence.

5.Attire & Equipment – Proper attire (e.g., fitted clothing, bare feet or appropriate footwear) must be worn for safety reasons. Any personal equipment used (e.g., knee pads, wrist supports) is the responsibility of the participant.


By attending our classes and/or Dance Cirque, participants agree to these terms and acknowledge the inherent risks associated with this type of physical activity.
