United Krav Maga - Terms and Conditions of Membership

Welcome to United Krav Maga. Please note the following:

Krav Maga is an extremely effective and potentially dangerous self defence system, and great care must be taken not to render excessive force against partners in training. Please ensure you have read and understood the safety regulations before undertaking training.  

Please ensure you have read the indemnity below and understand the implications of acceptance.

No student will be allowed to commence training unless they accept the terms and conditions herein.
In the event of any breach of contract or dispute which may arise, the matter shall be referred to the relevant magistrate’s court, for resolution or relief, and I agree to be liable for any legal costs which may arise as a result thereof.

By accepting these terms and conditions, you accept that this agreement is between United Krav Maga (UKM) and you as the UKM member.  Please read these terms carefully before accepting them, as it is a legally binding contract between yourself and the instructor concerned.

Please note that right of admission is reserved at all UKM training venues.

Training Provided

The training provided to a member, shall consist of Krav Maga or other combative systems instruction given by the duly responsible instructor, in classes which as marketed and organised by the instructor.  The instructor reserves the right to amend class schedules as may be necessary from time to time, without affecting the terms or contents of this agreement.

Payment

Payments by the member must be made to the duly responsible instructor, by EFT or debit order to a banking account as nominated by the instructor.  Payments must be made in advance, or on the 1st of each month.
I understand that: Fees are payable regardless of my attendance or non attendance and that refunds will only be considered for medical reasons.  Refunds granted on medical grounds only apply to Membership Fees. Enrolment Fees and Payment for joining fees, or assessments / gradings are non refundable.

Refunds are given solely at the discretion of management.

Termination

One month's written notice of cancellation is required, subject to the payment of any outstanding amounts.

Disclaimer & Indemnity 

United Krav Maga, its proprietors, instructors and affiliates assume no liability whatsoever for any damage, loss, injury or death incurred by any person in the course of instruction and practice. Although every care is taken to ensure the safety of each individual, Krav Maga is a combat system and there is natural inherent risk contained in the performance thereof.

All participants undertake training at their own risk and are cognisant of the physical nature of the training.

Acceptance of the Indemnity clause: “I , the undersigned, agree that I have read and understood the above indemnity clause and I hereby absolve United Krav Maga, its proprietors, instructors and affiliates from any claim arising from any harm howsoever caused during training.”
