Upbeat Dance Company is committed to protecting your privacy and security. This policy outlines how we collect and use your personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR).

By accepting an invitation into the class manager portal and providing your personal information, you are agreeing to the collection, use and sharing of your information in accordance with this statement.

Information we collect from you

• Personal information - Name, Address, Telephone number, Email address
• Dancer's medical information, DOB, photo/video consent. 
• Payment details/credit/debit card information for uniform orders, memberships etc.

Personal information will be shared with teachers, chaperones and to West Sussex county council - CYPS child employment entertainment team when participating in any performance at our local theatres. Information may also be shared with your permission to third parties who invite us to perform at their events and which may involve consent for photo or video footage. We will not share any of your personal information without informing you.

• To create and manage your account
• To keep your information safe, in one place and in accordance to legally compliant standards of data protection and security.
• To contact you with news and updates.
• To invoice you for our services
• To create class registers 
• To gain up to date knowledge or consent, medical information and contact details.

Any teacher, other than the Principal, will have access to some information (but not all), including customer name and telephone contact, Dancer name, DOB and medical information. They will not have access to any financial information.

PHOTO AND VIDEO PERMISSION

THERE IS AN OPTION TO CONSENT TO PHOTO AND VIDEO FOOTAGE ON THE STUDENT'S PAGE. BY CONSENTING TO THIS YOU WILL ALSO BE CONSENTING TO THE PHOTOS AND/VIDEOS TO BE SHARED BY UPBEAT DANCE COMPANY ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, UPBEAT DANCE WHATSAPP GROUPS AND LOCAL NEWSPAPERS FOR ADVERTISEMENT. THIS CONSENT WILL ALSO APPLY TO THIRD PARTIES SUCH AS PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS HIRED BY UPBEAT DANCE COMPANY WHO WILL BE GIVEN PERMISSION TO UPLOAD AND SHARE THE MEDIA TO THEIR OWN COMPANY WEBSITES AS WELL AS USING IT TO PRODUCE DVDs AND USBs FOR YOUR PURCHASE.

If you would like these photos and videos to be used only for certain reasons or you prefer them not to be taken at all, please tick NO and email Amber with details so that we can ensure you or your child is protected from the above.

Please also be aware that photos or videos taken of anyone other than your own child during lessons will not be prohibited unless you personally have consent from another parent/guardian. It is our duty at Upbeat Dance Company to protect the privacy and safety of all of our students.
