Terms and Conditions

General Terms

This agreement is between WA Academy of Irish Dancing and anyone who enrols or attends any of our services. By enrolling or attending any of WA Academy of Irish Dancing services, both you and your child/children agree with the terms and conditions set out below.

 

Free Trial Class

Valid for new clients only.

Timetable

We reserve the right to add, change or remove classes and instructors on our timetables without notice.

Your health 

In attending our classes, we trust that you are in good health condition and that you know of no medical or other reason why you cannot or should not engage on active or passive exercise. Our staff and contractors are not medically trained or qualified to assess if you are in good physical condition and can exercise without risking your health, safety or comfort. If you have any doubts, we strongly urge you to seek expert advice before starting classes with us.

 

Waiver: You understand there are specific risks of physical or property damages, losses, or injury that may result from your participation with WA Academy of Irish Dancing classes, and you voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation.

 

Allowing us to use your image

We sometimes film and/or photograph classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and other activities at our studios or in other locations. It is possible that you will appear in these materials. By accepting this agreement, you allow us the unrestricted right and permission to use your image in printed or digital promotional materials including, but not limited to: websites, social media, flyers, banners and videos.

 If you’d prefer your image not be used, please let us know in writing.


Payments & Attendance

Term Fees will be invoiced prior to commencement of term. Payment in full will be discounted IF received by the second Saturday of term.

Otherwise, weekly payments must be made by direct deposit or paid in person at the studio. Credit will not be issued for non-attendance.

By enrolling in the term you agree to pay all fees due prior to the conclusion of term. Non payment will result in barring of competition entry and legal action may be imposed to recover funds.

You must advise WA Academy of Irish Dancing staff of non attendance & reason prior to commencement of class.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

We do not offer refunds or credits for the term unless you are injured and cannot complete the term. You must provide a certificate from a qualified medical practitioner.

Refunds and credits can only be issued to the person who made the purchase. We do not refund or credit a person of a different name or account.

All communication regarding cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

 

Special exemption may be made if you are away for a large portion of the term, this will be assessed on a case by case basis.

 

Workshops

We do not offer refunds for workshops.

 

Public Holidays & Annual Breaks

Cancellation of classes

WA Academy of Irish Dancing reserves the right to cancel classes due to unforeseen circumstances, public holidays and over the period of large industry events. We will make a reasonable effort to inform cancellation of classes in advance via our social media channels, email, online portal, at reception and during classes. 

  

Copyright

All choreographies taught by any of WA ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCING instructors are property of WA ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCING and are not to be used for any other unauthorized purpose than at WA ACADEMY OF IRISH DANCING authorised events. Posting of any choreography to Social Media or any other online platform must be done so with the authorisation of WA Academy of Irish Dancing staff.

 

Studio Code

Respecting our facilities

You are responsible for using our facilities with care. Note that you will be responsible for any damage that you or your guests cause through a wilful act or negligence. Please also supervise children closely.

Keeping your belongings safe

Please keep your belongings safe and do not bring valuables into the studio. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your belongings while you are at the studio. We give lost property to charity each month.

Parking

We are not liable for any loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents even if you are parked within the studio’s car park, the building premises or nearby areas.

What happens if you break the studio code?

We can refuse entry to anyone, if you act unreasonably or break the studio code. If you continue to behave in the same way, we may cancel your enrolment and refuse your attendance immediately. We can refuse your attendance without warning if you behave in a way that is risky or seriously inappropriate, such as:

 

·     -    Threatening, bullying or harassing others

·         -Damaging premises

·       -  Using illegal or performance-enhancing drugs

·    -     Instructing other members when we have not authorised you to do so.


Other

Once renrolled with WA Academy, you are not able to attend classes held by other studios as per the AIDA Inc Rules and Guidelines. If you wish to enrol with another studio a formal transfer must take place and bans may be placed on competing following the transfer in line with CLRG and AIDA Inc rulings.
