Privacy Policy

CONSENT

The student and their guardian consent to release any photos and video footage obtained of the student whilst on the premises of West Beach Dance Academy, and at public events involving West Beach Dance Academy. The student and their guardian consent to the aforementioned photos and video footage to being used by West Beach Dance Academy for the purpose of advertising, including but not limited to www.wbda.com.au and social media. Any photos or video footage obtained on the premises of West Beach Dance Academy remains the sole property of West Beach Dance Academy. Filming and photography in class is only allowed when permission is granted by the teacher or choreographer. Due to strict Privacy and Copyright laws, recorded footage MUST NOT be shared in public or on any social media without the consent of the studio. We understand that one of the best ways to practice routines is to record and watch/rehearse the steps repeatedly. Because of this, we do allow students to record routines intended for rehearsal purposes only. Please do not film through windows and make sure permission has been granted before recording. Any abuse of this agreement will result in the student/parent being asked to delete all footage and possibly leave the premises. Student mobile phones are not used in class, however use of phones etc outside of class time is not the responsibility of West Beach Dance Academy. We request that students and parents acknowledge the privacy of others while at West Beach Dance Academy, we therefore expect that technology such as mobile phones and ipads in the waiting areas will be used respectfully

 

CHOREOGRAPHY

Choreography of all classes and performances remain the intellectual property of West Beach Dance Academy and or our syllabus providers. Choreography must not be used without prior permission from the studio

 

PERFORMANCES

All students enrolled in Concert Classes are expected to perform in the annual Dance Display and Major Production. If students choose not to perform in a production, they need to discuss this with their teacher at least one term prior to that production. Classes held at West Beach Dance Academy are based on team commitment – we encourage all students to commit for the full year with their teammates.
