Payment of Fees
Once booking through our online system and your child's enrolment is accepted, you will have 10 days to complete payment and secure your child’s place. If payment is not made within 10 days the invoice will be cancelled along with the enrolment for the requested class/classes. One month notice period is required to cancel your Child's place. Class payment is monthly via Direct Debit (GoCardless) and clubs is termly.
Uniform
After attending the dance school for one month you will be expected to wear the correct dance uniform. Students need to ensure they are wearing the Wright Dance School uniform and no other brands or logos should be worn.
Uniform orders should be made via our online dance store. These items will need to be paid at the time of ordering. Orders may take up to 14 days to arrive. Any Wright Dance T-shirts or hoodie orders can also be made via email to [email protected] will be given to your child at the end of their next class for them to take home.
Technique class uniform includes a specific leotard and dance footwear. Recreational class pupils must wear their Wright Dance T-Shirt with plain black bottoms (Shorts or leggings). Wright Dance T-Shirts, Hoodies, Performance Team tracksuits (where applicable) must be worn for performances at external events (Performance teams).
Photography and Recording
Recording and photography is not permitted during lessons. No photos or recordings are to be shared to third parties or posted on social networking sites. Occasionally we invite a professional photographer to attend special events.
Data Protection Policy
Any data will be used solely for the Wright Dance and information will not be shared with any third parties, unless consent has been granted by both parties (Wright Dance and Parent).
We may need to supply information to ‘Track and trace’ if a Covid-19 situation should arise.
Public Liability Insurance and Music Licenses
Wright Dance school have public liability insurance and music licenses. All of our teaching staff are DBS checked. Wright Dance holds full liability insurance and licenses via BOPA and PPL.
Cancellation of classes
Wright Dance reserves the right to cancel any classes that fail to meet our minimum enrolment requirement (Usually 6 students). In the event of such a cancellation, you will be offered an alternative class place or refunded for any remaining classes in the term.
Any taster classes are subject to minimum numbers. Free trials are offered at discretion.
Health and safety
Wright Dance takes seriously the safety of all of our pupils, parents and staff.
All pupils must complete our online registration when joining the school and give clear information regarding emergency contacts and any relevant medical history and SEND.
The school will undertake regular risk assessments regarding the premises hired and activities undertook. In case of Fire emergency all teachers have a clear understanding of responsibilities. In case of an incident there will be a first aider on site and an accident form must be completed. Parents understand that dance is as active as sport, and whilst every effort is made to avoid them, injuries can happen. Wright dance do NOT accept any responsibility for injuries sustained via any means other than a teacher’s negligence. Students/parents should inform the teacher of any special health considerations or existing injuries before participating in class. Pupils should wear correct uniform and correct footwear must be observed at all times for safe dance practice.
We keep up to date with current Government guidance and if required you may be asked to complete a health and safety form for each Child before attending their class.
Illness
If your child is unwell with a high temperature or contagious illness do not send them to class. Any child with a high temperature will be sent home. If a child becomes ill during class we will contact parent/careers and you will need to collect your child immediately.
If your child is returning to dance after an injury they may be able to join or observe the lesson, please seek advice from Miss Gemma. A hospital letter or disclaimer may need to be signed to ensure your dancer is fit to participate in class.
Bad Weather, Illness and Unexpected Closure
Recent years has seen the odd occurrence of bad weather, which has forced the venue to close due to health and safety. Similarly, occasionally a teacher may fall ill and it proves impossible to provide adequate cover. In these rare but sometimes unavoidable instances Wright Dance will advise parents as soon as possible and will re-schedule classes at the end of term or in the following term. No refunds can be offered.
Previous unfortunate Covid-19 situation has led to Venue closure, if the event of a venue closure or lockdown classes will move to online lessons.
Bookings General
We will endeavour to run the course in-person however the safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we will always follow government guidance. If the guidance changes and does not allow an in-person course, then we will deliver the course online via zoom.
Students must remain in their booked session for the entirety of the course. Failure to follow teacher instructions and abide by School policies will result in students being excluded from the course with no refund.
One month paid notice is required to cancel your Child's place.
The dance School is not responsible for any items or valuables during lesson times and any lost property will be disposed of at the end of the day if not collected.
Drop off and Pick up
Children will need to arrive punctual for their lesson at their designated drop off times.
Children should arrive dressed ready for class, with their dance shoes and a labelled water bottle. Parents of children under 5 years must remain on site at all times.
If any Children under 8 years has a break between their lessons they will need to leave the School and return for their next class time. We have made every effort to timetable accordingly to mitigate this issue. Over 8 years can wait in the waiting areas if they have a break, this is with parental consent. Under 16's must be collected by an adult after the lesson unless we have been given written consent to confirm that they may walk home.
Closure of courses due to COVID-19 infection and need to self-isolate
If a student has been asked to self-isolate or they or a member of their household shows symptoms of COVID-19 when they are due to attend the course, they will not be able to attend.
If a student or member of their household tests positive for COVID-19 while the course is running, you will need to notify us immediately and that student will no longer be able to attend on-site.
In the event of a student experiencing COVID-19 symptoms part-way through the course, their bubble will be removed from on-site activities.
Where possible teaching will be transferred online, or class work will be sent out to those pupils to complete at home. No refunds can be offered.
In the event of a student testing positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of taking part in our courses, you must notify the us immediately and include our organisation within your track and trace submission.
