Jump, spin, leap and shake with our Mini Performers - a fun and lively class for kids who love to dance, sing and perform! This class introduces our young students to Street Dance, Cheerleading and Musical Theatre skills.

Grade 1 Modern (Weekly)

Originating from Musical Theatre, Modern includes kicks, leaps and turns and develops the dancers strength and flexibility. Incorporating jazz, lyrical and contemporary dance, students learn versatility in their style and performance.

Each term we focus on different skills, including: Street Dance steps and routines; Cheerleading tumbling/acro skills, stunting/lifts, pom dance, chants; Musical Theatre acting games, poems or rhymes, singing and dance sequences.

Grade 1 Ballet (Weekly)

Encouraging creativity, imagination and self-confidence through dance and music, our Grade 1 students are developing their ballet technique, expanding their knowledge of steps and sequences, and working towards ISTD Ballet Examinations.

Grade 1 Tap (Weekly)

Tap is a theatrical dance style which uses the feet, and special shoes with metal 'taps', to create exciting rhythms and sounds. Students will learn about following rhythms and creating their own rhythms and sounds.

Cheerleading (Weekly)

Our Cheerleading class learns cheer arm motions and fun energetic dance routines, as well as Stunts (lifts) and Tumbling skills (acrobatics).

This is a fast paced class for students in Year 8 and above who already have some dance experience, and are confident in learning new choreography quickly. (We have an Inter Street class for teens who are new to dance)

Focusing on performance skills and confidence building, students will develop their acing, dancing and singing skills using a broad range of musical and theatre productions, while working towards performances for our shows and local events.

Street Dance (Inters) (Weekly)

Sudents will learn various styles of street dance and broaden their dance knowledge and performance skills. As well as learning choreographed routines, dancers will have opportunities to work together to create their own dance sequences.

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) (Weekly)

PBT is a fantastic technique class for all dancers (they don't need to be doing ballet). Strengthening the dancers core, legs and feet to improve their posture, balance and overall dance technique, which is transferrable to all styles of dance.
